WHO WE ARE
LAPENZA CLOTH FOR LESS PRIVILEGE INITIATIVE is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was formed since 2012 AND registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission" as NGO with the registration number (RC 129308) with trustees and volunteer members. This initiative was created with the mandate of capacity building of young people working to reduce and eradicate human suffering by responding to physical and emotional needs of children and youths in the society.
The organization is currently implementing its activities in Lagos and Imo State and wish to broaden its horizon to other states of the Federation in order to touch more lives of the less privileged in the society. The headquarter of La Penza Cloth For Less Privilege Initiative is located at No.2,Kosebinu Street, Oregun-Opebi Link bridge. Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.OUR MISSION To cloth and touch lives of over one million children and youth annually; foster peace, love and harmony to Africa and the world through charity. SO FAR,
WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TOUCH LIVES OF THE FOLLOWING CHARITY ORGANISATIONS; Missionaries of Charity Orphanage, Ketu-Alapere, SOS Children Village, Isolo, Lagos. Little Saints Orphanage, Akowonjo, Egbeda, Lagos,St. Monica Orphanage, Iju, Lagos. Hearts Of Gold Children Hospice,Hossanahomes,Agidingbi, Diamond Homes, Ojodu, Lagos. Jehovah Jare Motherless Babies Home, Orlu, Imo state,Special Education Center(school for the deaf and mentally retarded), Orlu, Imo State. With your contribution and partnership we can reach out to quite a number of Orphanage homes and individuals in the society.CHALLENGES WE FACE;there are four(4) major challenges we face in achieving our aim for the Charity Project; FUNDS: -we are in need of funds to purchase fabrics used in achieving the project.
Fabrics used for the charity were from the leftover fabrics made for our customers and part of The Company's (LA PENZA COUTURE) little income is used in purchasing the materials which isn't enough to achieve our aim of 100 clothes or more a week for the charity.SEWING EQUIPMENT:- Sewing equipment is another major problem we're faced with in this charity project. Due to the few number of machines we have; the set goal seems difficult to achieve; but with the help of God through you, it'll be actualized.MANPOWER: -Manpower is also a vital issue we're faced with in this charity project.Presently, there are few staff assigned to the charity project, making it almost impossible to achieve A hundred (100) clothes for charity in a week, hence, slowing the aim of One Million Clothes Annually:FACTORY SPACE:-More manpower and sewing equipment require a larger factory space. So, getting a bigger factory space will be helpful in actualizing our goal.
HOW YOU CAN HELP ACHIEVE OUR AIM:Ways to help this God inspired project are:
1. FUNDING :-Some find it difficult to feed let alone cloth themselves due to one financial reason or another. This is why we are asking you to cloth a child today. No amount is considered too little or too much when it comes to helping the less privileged.Givers indeed never lack.
2. PROVISION OF SEWING EQUIPMENT:-In order to achieve the set goal of 100 clothes or more a week, we need more machines. Presently, we are working with few sewing machines but additional machines will be of great assistance to the charity project of making 100 clothes a week or more easy to achieve.
3. MANPOWER :-Due to few number of staff on the charity project, we would appreciate new staff injections to help support the project. We currently have few staffs but will wish to increase the number of staffs to meet up with the project target. These staffs also have to be paid for this great course to achieve the set goal.
4. LARGE FACTORY SPACE :-The charity project will also require a larger space to meet up with our aim. If it's laid in your heart, you can help this God inspired project through donation of funds or provision or a larger space.OTHER HELP CAN BE IN FORM OF:Industrial Weaving Machines, Fabrics, and other sewing materials.
We believe that Clothing the Less Privileged is a worthy cause that will be ofgreat help to them. We will be excited to partner with you to put a smile on the face of the less privileged in the society, leading to substantial benefits in the short, medium, and long term. Also, through our TRAIN A YOUTH AND SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAM, we wish to also partner with you to train the creative ones among the less privileged to assist them to be self-reliant.Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this project further, please reachout to our project director through the details below.
